FROM MOVEMENT TO SOUND
The story of a project exploring the connection between movement, sound and performance
Who Creates Quray
Quray is developed by musician Eduard Berens and engineer Andrew Strokov. Together, we explore the connection between movement, sound and performance
  • Eduard Berens
    Musician & Sound Artist

Eduard is a musician and sound artist exploring the relationship between movement, sound and performance.

The idea for Quray grew from a desire to make electronic performance more expressive and visible, allowing audiences to see how movement shapes sound in real time.
  • Andrew Strokov
    Engineer & Sound Artist

Andrew develops the hardware, signal processing and software architecture behind Quray.

He is also the creator of the modular synthesizer platform MICRORACK and has more than a decade of experience designing electronic musical instruments.

What Inspires Us
We are creating an instrument that makes the connection between movement and sound visible. When a performer moves, the audience can see the cause, not just hear the result. This relationship is what we continue to explore and develop through Quray.
